Shinhan Life Insurance announced on the 29th that it has launched a beta version of’How-FIT’, a digital healthcare platform service.
Howfit is an AI home training service that checks and corrects the user’s exercise posture using motion recognition technology. Using a smartphone camera without a separate wearable device, AI analyzes the user’s movement, coaches the correct exercise posture and recognizes the number of exercise.
Shinhan Life Insurance reported the health care service business for the general public as an incidental business on the 17th for the first time as an insurance company to provide the service to the general public, including non-contractors.
Howfit users receive accurate exercise coaching and real-time feedback through live classes hosted by famous influencers (health trainers). In addition, the real-time ranking system allows students to form a bond and increase their willingness to exercise.
This beta version is limited to the Android version, and the iOS (iPhone) version is expected to be released in January of next year. The beta version of the live class is operated with 7 influencers and a total of 21 live classes.
The company said, “We signed a joint development investment contract with’iPixel’, a startup equipped with artificial intelligence technology, and promoted work in a joint business method from platform planning to design, development, and activation stages.” “We plan to enter the home training market in earnest through continuous content development and service enhancement.”
