“Quick tweets, loss bars”… Musk Sue Tesla Investor

An investor at Tesla, an American electric vehicle company, sued CEO Elon Musk and Tesla’s board of directors.

The reason is that Musk’s tweet exposed him to the risk of lost investment.

Reuters reported on the 12th (local time) that an investor who did not disclose his identity has filed a complaint with the Delaware court in the United States.

In the complaint, the accuser said, “Musk tweeted that Tesla’s stock price was too high on May 1 of last year, leaving shareholders exposed to billions of dollars in losses due to a’variable’ tweet that affects the stock price.”

The complainant also said that Tesla’s board of directors should also review Musk’s tweets in accordance with an agreement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), but it did not implement them properly.

In fact, in a tweet from Musk in May of last year, the complainant criticized that “Tesla’s market capitalization of 14 billion dollars flew away in one day,” and that this caused considerable damage to investors.
