The New York Mets, an American professional baseball team, announced a list of 28 invited players for the 2021 season Spring Camp non-roster on the 14th (Korean time).

Tibo was a footballer who won the Heisman Trophy, the highest honor in college American football, in 2007 when he was at the University of Florida.
He debuted in the NFL in 2010 and played as a star player, but he retired in 2016, unable to overcome injuries and sluggishness.
TiVo decided to pursue his second life with baseball, which he loved since childhood.
After testing and signing a minor league contract with the Mets in September 2016, Tibo, a left-handed outfielder, was invited to the major league spring camp for five consecutive years from 2017 to this year.
However, they haven’t been able to make their debut in the big leagues over the past four years.
This is because the major league demonstration matches and minor league performances were poor.
The career record of the four-year demonstration game was 0.151 batting average, one home run, and three RBIs. The home run was first hit in a demonstration game last year.
In the minor leagues, he batted 0.226 and 8 homers in single A in 2017, and hit 0.273 and 6 homers in double A in 2018, and climbed to Triple A in 2019, but batted only 0.163 and 4 homers in 77 games.
TiVo took off the injuries he suffered in 2018 and 2019 and challenged again in 2020, but the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) spread rapidly, and the spring camp was halted and the minor league game was canceled, so he could not play.
Last year, Tibo said, “I’m not ready to give up my dream of advancing into the major leagues,” and said that he will continue to challenge even at the age of over thirty.
