On the 3rd, there were cases of death after vaccination against the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in Goyang and Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do. It is believed that the death of Pyeongtaek died from sepsis due to the underlying disease.
According to Gyeonggi Province and health authorities, a patient (63), who was hospitalized in a nursing hospital in Pyeongtaek, died on the morning of that morning due to cerebrovascular disease. This patient is said to have had abnormal symptoms such as high fever and systemic pain from 10:30 pm the next day after receiving the AZ vaccine at 2:30 pm on the 27th of last month. The nursing hospital observed the patient while prescribing pain relievers and antipyretics. After taking the drug, he wanted to see if his condition improved, but he said that it repeatedly worsened. Eventually, the nursing hospital transferred the patient to the hospital on the 2nd day. After showing symptoms such as sepsis and pneumonia, he died around 10 am on the 3rd.
A hospital official who treated the deceased patient said, “Because he had an underlying disease, he believes that it has nothing to do with the vaccine.” The official said, “The exact cause of death must be investigated by health authorities and autopsy, but the medical staff sees sepsis due to the underlying disease as the direct cause of death. It seems that he was not in good health.”
Meanwhile, a patient in her 50s in a nursing hospital in Dong-gu, Ilsan, Goyang-si, died of a heart attack. He received AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine at a nursing hospital on the morning of the 2nd. On this afternoon, symptoms such as heart attack and shortness of breath appeared and recovered after receiving first aid. After that, a heart attack appeared again in the morning of the 3rd and received first aid, but died in the end. It is known that the deceased patient had underlying diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and stroke.
The Central Defense Response Headquarters said, “We are currently investigating cases reported to have died after vaccination. At the time of the 2 pm briefing, the results of the investigation will be announced.” He said, “We plan to conduct a causal evaluation by holding a damage investigation group for cases of death.”
During one day for two days, 63,644 people were newly vaccinated for the Corona 19 vaccine in Korea. A total of 87,428 people completed the first vaccination. There are 85,904 AZ vaccinations and 1524 Pfizer vaccinations.
