‘Team Kim’, a female curling singer who wrote the silver medal myth at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, has set up a new nest in Gangneung, Gangwon-do.

Five players including Skip Kim Eun-jung and coach Myung-seop Myung-seop signed a business agreement with Gangneung Mayor Kim Han-geun at Gangneung City Hall on the morning of the 4th.

Kim Eun-jung said, “The historic moments achieved at the Gangneung Curling Stadium during the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics were a thankful time that I could never forget in my life.

Coach Lim said, “I won a silver medal in a place with a lot of curling infrastructure, and because it is a place where I can concentrate on training without forgetting that there were many twists and turns, I chose Gangneung. I will be able to make it.”

Mayor Kim urged, “Go to the world under the name of Gangneung to raise the pride of Korea, and to give strength to the people in this difficult time due to the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).”

Team Kim is a curling team made up of 4 people from Uiseong Girls’ High School (Kim Eun-jung, Kim Young-mi, Kim Sun-young, Kim Gyeong-ae) and Kim Cho-hee from Gyeonggi-do.

During the 2018 Winter Olympics, Tim Kim created a curling craze by winning a silver medal at the Gangneung Curling Center, but in November of that year, he revealed that he had suffered from a cruelty to the leader’s family.

After that, Tim Kim was in a situation where he could not concentrate only on training, so he was in a position to give up the seats for the national team to Chuncheon City Hall and Gyeonggi Province.

Tim Kim recovered the curling Taegeuk mark in November last year, after three years, but has been training personally because he did not receive support from his team and the federation.

At the end of last year, he failed to renew his contract with the Gyeongbuk Sports Association, and he had no team.

Tim Kim will begin training to prepare for the World Championships scheduled for May at the Gangneung Curling Center from the 5th.
