[대전=이데일리 박진환 기자] It was found that the Public Procurement Service’s innovation marketplace is leading innovative growth by actively discovering public demand within one year of opening.

According to the Public Procurement Service, the Innovation Marketplace, which opened on February 24 last year, is a system that connects the innovation demand of public and public institutions with innovative products of companies, and supports initial market entry by operating a mall dedicated to innovative products.

The Innovation Marketplace has been used by 36,946 public institutions and 45,228 procurement companies over the past year, and has implemented the entire process of innovation procurement, from discovering innovation demand to purchasing innovative products.

Until now, 17 of the 2577 improvement opinions submitted by the public and public agencies were selected through constant public offering of innovation demand ideas and are being linked to R&D projects led by government ministries.

In addition, 1328 innovative products designated by government agencies such as the Public Procurement Service were registered as an open market for innovative products, and public purchases worth 83.1 billion won were signed.

In particular, it is a problem-solving contract method in which innovative ideas suggested by experts are reflected in the standards through competition without setting the task standards, and 282 competitive dialogue contracts were implemented.

As a result of the Procurement Service’s innovative prototype business, 665 supplier proposals and 157 consumer proposals were reviewed, and 199 innovative prototypes were designated.

As a result of the pilot procurement project in which a government agency becomes the first buyer of innovative products, 405 institutions used innovative products worth 30.30 billion won.

The Innovation Marketplace has been providing new services such as public participation and sales channel support for innovative products since the 8th of last month by promoting advanced projects to improve system functions.

The Public Procurement Service will hold a promotional event in commemoration of the 1st anniversary from the 24th to the 4th of next month to promote the use of the innovative marketplace.

In the innovation marketplace, surveys are conducted along with online quiz and comment events to collect system user satisfaction and opinions for improvement.

Shin-myeon Kang, Director of Purchasing Business at Public Procurement Service, said, “This year is a very important time when the paradigm of innovation procurement is shifting from supplier-centered to consumer-centered.” It will be a central point for discovering and supporting both domestic and international sales channels.”
