In addition to the fact that the pre-voting rate for the 4·7 re-election reached a record high in the re-election history, the reactions of the Democratic Party and the people were mixed. The pre-voting rate for the April 7 re-election held for two days on the last 2-3 days was calculated at 20.54%. This is a result higher than the pre-voting rate for the 10/29 re-election in 2014, the highest record for the pre-election pre-voting rate in 2014, as well as the pre-voting rate of 20.14 percent for the 7th local election in 2018. The pre-voting rates in Seoul and Busan were 21.95% and 18.65%, respectively, and both regions recorded high pre-voting rates of around 20%.
The Democratic Party evaluated the high pre-voting fever as’protecting candidates Park Young-sun and Kim Young-chun’.
