Lee Nak-yeon, CEO of the Democratic Party, is scheduled to meet with IT industry associations on the 22nd to hear opinions on the’profit sharing system’.

The profit-sharing system was first proposed by the Democratic Party, and implies that companies that benefit from Corona 19 should share profits with small business owners or victims.

However, it is impossible to identify the profits from Corona 19 separately, and it is said that voluntary participation is encouraged, but criticism that it is nothing other than pushing companies, etc. is controversial.

According to the related industry on the 21st, the Democratic Party of Korea will hold a video conference with officials from the Korea Fintech Industry Association, the Korea Internet Enterprise Association, and the Korea Startup Forum at 4 pm on the 22nd in the meeting room of the Democratic Party representative. At the party level, CEO Nak-yeon Lee and the Chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee will attend, and the government will be with Seong-cheon Kang, Vice Minister of Small and Medium Venture Business.

This meeting was organized to hear the voices of the industry related to the’corona cooperation benefit-sharing system’, which is part of the solution for economic inequality proposed by the Democratic Party.

The plan is to share various current status and examples of platform companies on the concept and case of the cooperative benefit sharing system, and to seek ways to resolve the small gap through difficulties or discourses.

Earlier, the ruling party tried to call a variety of platform companies to encourage participation in the profit-sharing system, but the companies were unsuccessful as they showed difficulties. For this reason, it seems that a meeting was held in which the Internet Business Association with Naver as the chairman, the Fintech Industry Association with Kakao Pay as the chairman, and the Korea Start Forum with Market Curly and Jikbang as the chairman, and Toss as the chairman.

In the platform industry, it is not possible to separately measure the profits from Corona 19, and it is an atmosphere of regret that it is trying to pass the responsibility to the enterprise.

An official in the IT industry said, “Sales are rising, but platform companies that are making a deficit due to investment, etc., are burdened by the government and the Democratic Party. We are already helping small businesses in various ways. The pressure feels a burden,” he said.
