Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun said on the 13th, “The distance between the metropolitan area for two weeks from the day after tomorrow (15th) will be mitigated in two steps, and 1.5 steps for other areas,” he said.

Prime Minister Chung presided over a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters in response to the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) at the government building in Seoul this morning, and said, “Amidst the pain of cutting bones, we will ease business restrictions for small business owners and self-employed people who have cooperated with quarantine. Multi-use facilities in the metropolitan area are also allowed to operate until 10 pm,” he said.

“The nationwide entertainment facilities will be open until 10 pm on the condition that they comply with the core quarantine rules. However, considering the fact that the third epidemic is still alive, the’prohibition of meetings with more than 5 people’ is maintained.” Said.

Accordingly, starting on the 15th, the steps to distance the metropolitan area will be eased from step 2.5 to step 2, and for non-capital areas from step 2 to step 1.5.

Prime Minister Jung emphasized that “while reviewing this adjustment plan, the government has been struggling to find a balance between quarantine and public welfare,” he said.
