Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun said on the 25th, “The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) per day reached a high of 1241 due to the outbreak of large-scale confirmed cases in the Eastern Detention Center yesterday.”

Prime Minister Chung said in a remark at both the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters meeting held at the Seoul government office that day, “Unfortunately, a large-scale confirmed case occurred in the eastern detention center in Seoul. “Please re-check the quarantine situation in the military and correctional facilities and strengthen measures to find asymptomatic infected people,” he said.

He added, “The temporary screening test center in the metropolitan area has exceeded 110,000 tests per day. Local governments operating temporary screening test centers such as Busan, Daegu, and Pohang are increasing,” he said.
