President Moon “Violence Against Myanmar People Should Stop Immediately”

President Moon Jae-in said on the 6th, “I condemn the violent suppression of the Myanmar military and police, and strongly urge the immediate release of detained personnel including state adviser Aung San Suu Kyi.”

President Moon said in an article posted on Facebook this morning, saying, “There should be no more human sacrifices.”

President Moon emphasized, “I sincerely hope that democracy and peace will be restored as soon as possible.”

Violence against the people of Myanmar must be stopped immediately. There will be no more human sacrifices. Condemning the violent suppression of the Myanmar military and police, I strongly urge the immediate release of detained personnel, including state adviser Aung San Suzi. I sincerely hope that democracy and peace will be restored as soon as possible.

Use of violence against the people of Myanmar must stop now. There should not be any more loss of lives. We condemn the violent suppression of protests by the military and the police forces and strongly call for the immediate release of all those detained including State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi. We stand firmly with the people of Myanmar for a quick, peaceful restoration of democracy.
