President Moon Jae-in, after receiving a report on the preparation plan for vaccination against a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the 15th, instructed the “Director of the disease administration to take full control of the vaccination and lead all ministries.”

President Moon said this after receiving a report of the Corona 19 vaccination preparation plan at the Blue House from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a spokesman for the Blue House, Kang Min-seok said through a briefing.

The report also included Minister of Public Administration and Safety Jeon Jeon-cheol, Minister of Health and Welfare Kwon Deok-cheol, Director of State Affairs and Coordination Office, Yoon-cheol Koo, Director of Food and Drug Safety, Kang-rip Kim, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army Park Ju-kyung, and Deputy Chief of National Police Agency Song Min-hun.

Commissioner Jeong reported, “We will establish a corona 19 vaccination response promotion team by mobilizing all available resources across the government and establish a collaboration system for each vaccination stage by receiving manpower support from each ministry.”

The vaccination stage is divided into 5 stages. In the first step, the KFDA approval team approves the vaccine. The second transport is handled by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport’s aviation and water support TF, and the third, the storage and distribution of vaccines is driven by the Ministry of Defense’s transport support headquarters. The vaccination support group establishes an organic cooperation system in stages, such as in charge of vaccination preparation and vaccination.

Commissioner Chung said, “We will make clear guidelines for vaccination based on a transparent and fair procedure, and prepare in advance after going through road training.”

Accordingly, President Moon emphasized maintaining high confidence in promoting vaccination.

“Last year, the success factor in quarantine in Korea was the full participation and cooperation of the people, and the reason for the cooperation was that the quarantine authorities maintained the trust.” “In the vaccination stage, inform the people gently, communicate and maintain the trust well.” He asked.

President Moon added, “Please lead so that the whole process from vaccination storage, transportation, vaccination and vaccination effects, and collective immunity can be smoothly carried out,” and added, “We will be able to do well with our administrative competence. Please work with confidence.” .
