President Moon Jae-in will attend the World Climate Summit on the 22nd at the invitation of US President Joe Biden.

President Moon added an additional upgrade of the ‘2030 National Greenhouse Gas Reduction Target’ (NCD) for ‘2050 Carbon Neutral’ at the first summit session under the theme of’Improvement of Climate Goals’ from 9 am to 11 pm, and overseas coal. It will comment on the suspension of public financial support.

In particular, we plan to call for the interest and participation of the international community including the United States for the successful hosting of the 2021 Seoul P4G Summit hosted by us at the end of May.

With the participation of this climate summit, President Moon will hold the Korea-US Summit held after mid-May, the Solidarity for Green Growth and Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit held in Seoul from May 30 to 31, and the UK in November. The plan is to establish a chain of cooperation between the United States and the United States in the climate sector until the 26th meeting of the General Assembly of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26) and to create synergies.
