POSCO International (047050)Announced on the 28th that it was selected as an’Excellent Anti-Corruption Company’ at the’BIS Summit 2021 Anti-Corruption Awards’ held by the UN Global Compact (UNGC) and the Korea Social Responsible Investment Forum.

At the event held at the Gwanghwamun Four Seasons Hotel, Democratic Party lawmaker Lee Yong-seon and Rum Chu-kong, CEO of Siemens Korea, gave congratulatory remarks.

The companies selected as excellent anti-corruption companies went through standards such as △ ESG performance for five years △ Establishment of standards, policies, and procedures related to corruption risk △ Application of corruption risk management activities and compliance management. In addition to POSCO International, four companies and three public institutions were selected, including LS Electric, LG H&H, and Coway.

UNGC is a specialized organization under the UN that promotes participation in sustainable and balanced development promoted by the United Nations through cooperation between the United Nations (UN) and companies and to improve international social ethics and the international environment. Since its foundation in September 2007, the Korean Association of UNGC has been supporting member companies in fulfilling their corporate social responsibilities. POSCO International joined the UNGC in November 2019 and fulfills its corporate social responsibilities in areas such as human rights, labor standards, environment, and anti-corruption, and discloses its implementation activities and achievements through the Corporate Citizenship Report.
