Pohang Steelers unveils the 2021 season uniform produced with sports brand PUMA.
The concept of this season’s home uniform is’NEW STRIPES’. The night view of the Pohang Steelworks reflected in the Hyeongsan River and shimmering red was interpreted as a horizontal stripe, which is the club’s listing, and visually expressed anew. The five separate seasons, which were located behind the neck until last year, returned to the top of the emblem. It not only symbolizes the 5th K-League championship, but also represents the shining passion of the steel warriors and the glory of the future.
The away uniform continued the tradition of the club by using cyan blue color as in previous years. The K-League away uniform was made in REVERSE CYAN BLUE, with white as the main color but all markings in cyan blue. The away uniform for AFC Champions League is CYAN BLUE as the main color. In addition, the’V’ mark on the heads of the club’s mascots Soedol-i and Soon-i was used in the uniform design. The patterning of repeating’V’ added the meaning that Pohang is the homeland by expressing the waves and waves of Youngil.
The sales schedule of the newly released jerseys for the 2021 season will be announced later through the club’s official Instagram and Facebook.
