A life-saving campaign for Iranian teenage girls, who resembles famous Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, but gained popularity with photos reminiscent of “zombies,” such as dent cheeks and twisted noses are spreading.

According to the BBC on the 17th, Iran’s famous journalist and activist Mashalinejad is actively carrying out lifesaving activities for Instagram star Saha Tavar (19, real name Pateme Kishband).

Since 2017, Tabar has become an Instagram star with more than 500,000 followers by uploading weird photos. Rumors have circulated that he had undergone 50 plastic surgeries to resemble Angelina Jolie, but it turned out to be not true. Tavar said, “I used the character from Tim Burton’s movie’Ghost Bride’ as a motif,” and said, “I used a filler on my nose and lips, but I borrowed the power of makeup and Photoshop for the rest.”

Tavar’s fame came back with harsh results. In 2019, Tavar was arrested on charges of blasphemy, incitement of violence, and insults of the Islamic dress code, and last month the Islamic Revolutionary Court sentenced him to 10 years in prison. It is said that by profiting in inappropriate ways, they promoted corruption among young people, and blasphemed Islamic deity by revealing a molded face with a loose hijab on.

He was diagnosed with coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in prison last April and applied for bail, but was dismissed, Alinejad said. His Instagram account was also closed.

Alinejad said, “The Islamic Republic arrests women for dancing, singing, taking off the forced hijab, going to the playground, modeling, or just using Photoshop like this time.” “Please help a 19-year-old girl who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for turning herself into Jolie.”

Alinejad led Iranian women’s hijab stripping movement and won the Women’s Rights of the Year Award from international human rights organizations in 2015. He runs a Facebook page titled’My Secret Freedom’, encouraging Iranian women to post hijab photos.
