The Korean Pediatrics and Adolescents Medical Association announced that it is filing an application for a temporary injunction to suspend the validity of taking the written examination for the National Examination Examination against Cho Min (29), the daughter of former Justice Minister Cho Kook, until the final decision of the “examination irregularity” trial. The court convicted all of the charges related to the alleged irregularities in the entrance examination for the children of Dongyang University professor Chung Kyung-shim and arrested.

On the 23rd, Lim Hyun-taek, chairman of the Korean Pediatrics and Adolescents Medical Association, posted a post on his Facebook page stating that he is filing a request for a temporary injunction against the Korea National Examination Institute for Health and Medical Services. He referred to Professor Jeong, who was convicted of forgery of private documents, and wrote that the citation in the name of the president of Tong Yang University, which his daughter, Jo, submitted as admission data to the Busan National University medical team, was recognized as false data.

Chairman Lim stated the reason for applying for provisional injunction, saying, “In that the validity of Mr. Cho’s admission to Pusan National University based on false admissions data is invalid or subject to be cancelled, Mr. Cho was not eligible to apply for the medical examination under the Medical Law.” Cho, a fourth-year medical practitioner at Pusan National University, took the 2021 National Doctoral Examination in September.

Chairman Lim was concerned that Cho would be able to obtain a doctor’s license once, as it is expected that it will take some time for the final judgment to come out after the first trial. He said, “(next year), the written test of the doctor’s office scheduled for January 7-8 is less than two weeks left,” he said. “If the validity of the application is not suspended, take the national written test and notify the pass on January 20 “It is very likely that you will receive a doctor’s license and get a license.”

“Even if the conviction is convicted someday and the acquisition of Mr. Cho’s doctor’s license may be revoked, during that period, Mr. Cho will perform medical treatments for patients. Therefore, the health risks that the public must suffer from the medical practice of Mr. Cho, who is actually an unqualified person, are It is expected to be very serious.”

Lastly, he said, “If a person who has obtained a doctor’s license through illegal means, such as Mr. Cho, conducts medical treatment, he will become a doctor in an honest way, leaving scars and frustrations for those who fight at the forefront of the disease and many people.” It is reported that Chairman Lim plans to submit an application for provisional injunction to the Seoul Eastern District Law on the 24th.

Earlier on the same day, in another post on Facebook, Chairman Lim urged, “Pusan University President Cha Jung-in should immediately expel Cho Min, a fraudulent student.” He criticized, “If Mr. Cho becomes a doctor in this way, he will leave a precedent for the worst admissions denial that the children of a house with no quality but a lot of money will be able to become doctors if they use such tricks and wear a bag.” did.

However, Pusan National University is in a position to decide whether to cancel the admission of all medical doctors after the final court decision. Busan National University Admissions Headquarters Director Kim Hae-young said in a call with the JoongAng Ilbo on the 23rd, “It is a first trial decision. The prosecution or Professor Kyung-Shim Chung can appeal,” he said. “When the final court decision comes out, we will open a deliberation body based on the school regulations and application guidelines to decide whether to cancel admission.”

Meanwhile, Section 25-2 of the Criminal Agreement of the Seoul Central District Court (Judge Lim Jeong-yeop) was sentenced to a fine of 500 million won for four years in prison at the first trial sentence against Professor Jeong on the same day and imprisoned in court. This is the court’s first judgment last year, 475 days after the prosecution indicted Professor Chung for forgery of the Tong Yang University citation. Accordingly, Professor Jeong was re-imprisoned at the Seoul Southern Detention Center.
