Kim Si-woo (26, CJ Korea Express), who is co-leadering from the third round of the American Professional Golf (PGA) Tour American Express (total prize money of $6.7 million), made a determination to play calmly, taking lessons from last year’s Wyndham Championship.
On the 24th (Korean time), in the third round of the tournament held at the PGA West La Quinta Country Club Stadium Course (par 72, 7113 yards) in La Quinta, California, USA, Siwoo Kim caught 5 birdies without seeing and scored 67 strokes under the par of 5 .
Kim Si-woo took the lead with Tony Pinau (USA) and Max Houma (USA) with a 15-under-par 201 tarot in the middle. It is an opportunity to make up for last year’s regrets.
Kim Si-woo announced the possibility of winning for the third time in his career, running alone in the third round of the Wyndham Championship in August 2020. However, in the final round, he received two penalty strokes and allowed a turnaround and failed to win.
After finishing the 3rd round of American Express, Siwoo Kim said, “The shot was good overall,” and “I want to enjoy the final round and play a good job.”
Furthermore, he said, “I didn’t play good in the final round of the Wyndham Championship,” and “I’ll wait a little more tomorrow and play calmly. I’ll eat comfortably and be less aggressive.”
