
The Petroleum Distribution Association is promoting a full review or abolition of affordable gas stations as a top priority this year.
On the 25th, the Korea Petroleum Distribution Association held the 33rd regular general meeting at L Tower in Seocho-gu, Seoul, with members from all over the country, including oil agents and refiners, and related organizations attending.
On that day, the Petroleum Distribution Association deliberated and decided on last year’s settlement of accounts, amendments to the articles of incorporation, and this year’s business plan and budget.
The association has set the business goals of this year to ▲improving the management environment of member companies ▲actively responding to energy conversion ▲enhancing the status and capabilities of the association. To achieve this, 10 key projects and 33 major projects were selected and decided to actively promote them.
The association is pursuing a plan to abolish the Korea Petroleum Corporation’s affordable incentives and convert it into a subsidy for the relocation and closure of gas stations.
The association emphasized that “out of the 10 key projects, we will pursue a full review and abolition of thrifty gas stations.”
“As an action plan, the National Assembly will hold two policy discussions under the themes of’Responding to Energy Conversion’ and’Improving Affordable Policies’, and in the first half of the year, we will conduct a’Research Service for Affordable Gas Station System Improvement’ with the Petroleum Association and Gas Station Association.” Added.
