The People’s Power pointed out that while welcoming candidate Ahn Chul-soo, Mayor of Seoul City Mayor of the National Assembly, expressed his willingness to accept the unification method on the 19th, he pointed out that an ambiguous corner remained. Earlier, Candidate Ahn said, “I will accept the unification method requested by the Emergency Response Committee Chairman Kim Jong-in and Candidate Se-hoon Oh.”

Secretary General Chung Yang-seok and Rep. Seong Il-jong, the working-level negotiation team for unifying the power of the people, held a press conference after an emergency interview with Candidate Ahn, saying, “The determination of Candidate Ahn and Secretary-General Lee Tae-gyu of the People’s Party (the counterpart of the working-level negotiation) are different.”

‘Kim Jong-in and Oh Se-hoon An’, which Candidate Ahn announced his intention to accept, reflects 10% of fixed-line telephones and adds up the results of’competitiveness’ and’conformity’ surveyed by 1000 people by two public opinion polls. On the other hand, secretary-general Lee said that without a clear answer on whether to accept ‘10% wired telephones’, only mentioning’competitiveness’ in the poll phrases is causing confusion.

Secretary-General Chung argued, “If the problem of interpretation is an obstacle, it is not an effort for real unification, it is a show type,” and said, “We have no choice but to doubt that there is an intention to make the other person difficult.”

On the previous day, the “unification before candidate registration” eventually broke after exceeding the polling deadline the two sides had aimed at.

The two negotiating teams are planning to contact again this afternoon to continue negotiations. Candidate Oh is also expected to hold a press conference to reveal his position on Candidate Ahn’s announcement.
