Actor Um Gi-jun said goodbye for a while.
He revealed his feelings for the end of season 1 of SBS’s Monday-Tuesday drama’Penthouse’, which ended on the 5th (Tuesday), and expressed his gratitude toward viewers from a witty testimony about the villain character.
Gijun Um is “Gyeonggi Um, who played the role of Dan-Tae Ju in SBS’Penthouse’. I think the character Dantae was the most unique among the villains I played. There were so many worries, but I tried to express a more vicious and cowardly figure that uses the woman’s heart for the desire for wealth and honor, and what she wants to have. That’s why I feel like I have become a bad guy in the people (laughs) I am happy that the character has been well conveyed to the viewers as I played Dan-tae,” he said, expressing his affection for the character.
“Even in difficult situations, season 1 has ended safely by working together. It seems to be thanks to all the staff and actors besides writer Kim Soon-ok and director Joo Dong-min. Thank you. We are filming season 2 hard to repay the love you sent to the penthouse. Please look forward to and interest in how Dantae will return. “Please wait a little”, raising expectations for Season 2 along with gratitude for the staff, actors, and viewers who worked hard together.
On the other hand, Um Gi-jun played the role of’Dan-tae’, exuding desire to protect the wealth and honor that had been wiped out with his natural talent, and committing all kinds of evil deeds with pathological perfectionism, adding to the tension of the drama. From the heinous duality to the ugly inner feeling of guilt, he perfectly digested the character with his mastery of acting, making viewers amazed every time, proving he is the absolute strongest of the villain.
‘Penthouse’ ends season 1 with 21 episodes on the 5th (Tuesday), and plans to find viewers with season 2 in February.
