“We will establish the’Real Estate Supervisory Office (tentative name)’ in Seoul City”

Mayor Park Young-seon and Democratic Party Mayor of Seoul proposed a’Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) special inspection investigation’ two days ago, and on the 14th proposed a full investigation of all landowners in the planned area for the 3rd new city development. Candidate Park held a press conference on the day and said, “I will make a suggestion to the party and the government.”

Candidate Park said, “The government has initiated a second investigation of spouses and direct relatives of public officials, but it is difficult to find out those who committed illegal dumping under the second name with relatives or acquaintances.” He said, “We must thoroughly screen out illegal speculators and hold accountability by tracking the flow of the investigators’ sources of funds,” he said.

Candidate Park also said, “It is a time to clearly show the will of the party and the government to eradicate illegal real estate speculation.” Candidate Park proposed to establish a land and housing reform policy by establishing the’Land and Housing Reform Committee’ (tentative name) along with the passage of the provisional National Assembly in March of the’Five Act on the Prevention of Speculation and Corruption of Public Officials’.

Candidate Park said, “As soon as I take office, I will investigate the real estate holdings of all employees of the city and its subsidiaries,” and “I will check the details of changes on a regular basis every year.” It has announced that it will establish a’pre-report system for real estate transactions’ and’Real Estate Supervisory Service (tentative name)’ for all employees of the city and its affiliated public institutions.
