Former Minister of Small and Medium Venture Business Park Young-sun has been confirmed as a candidate for the Mayor of Seoul for the ruling party, the Democratic Party.
So-called Park Young-sun, which was ranked first in the passport candidate poll, was reflected in the vote of the Rights Party and Seoul Citizens Electoral Corps conducted on the 1st, and passed the preliminary round, far ahead of the rival, Rep. Ahn Cheol-soo, the representative of the National Assembly Party, was also confirmed as a candidate for the opposition third zone after defeating former Democratic Party lawmaker Geum Tae-seop in the contest held that day. Accordingly, President Ahn is expected to unify the opposition mayor of Seoul when a candidate for the power of the people is determined.
On this day, former Minister Park Young-sun recorded 69.56% of the total votes of the rights party members (50%) and the Seoul citizens electoral team (50%), defeating Rep. Woo Sang-ho (30.44%) and confirmed as the ruling party mayor of Seoul. Former Minister Park surpassed Rep. Woo by a large margin in both the rights party and the Seoul citizens’ electoral team vote.
In his speech to accept the candidate, former Minister Park said, “When the wind blows hard, some build fences, but some use windmills,” and “I will become the mayor of Seoul that turns crisis into opportunity and wind into energy of change.” “If New York was the world standard city for the past 100 years, then K City Seoul will become the world standard city and digital economic capital for the next 100 years.” He was a former MBC reporter and served as a member of the 4th National Assembly (17-20s). He served as the first female member of the National Assembly Legislative Justice Committee and the first female in-house representative. In the future, it is expected that Kim Jin-ae, the Open Democratic Party and Jo Jo Jung-hoon, the transitional lawmaker and the pan-passport candidate will be unified.
In the opposition, CEO Ahn Chul-soo won the contest for the “Third Zone Candidate” conducted by former lawmaker Geum Tae-seop through a 100% public opinion poll. The percentage of votes was not disclosed. He said, “I will meet you as soon as the candidate for the power of the people is elected on the 4th,” he said. “I declare that I am a partner and cooperator while competing for a regime change, and I look forward to an agreement on a beautiful unification method.”

Former Minister of SMEs and Startups Park Young-seon is now participating in the 4-7 Seoul Mayor’s by-election as a candidate for the ruling party after the third challenge in the party competition. With about 70% of the votes, it won overwhelmingly against rival Woo Sang-ho and Democratic Party lawmakers. In the second half of the Moon Jae-in administration’s reign, it is noteworthy whether it will be possible to become the first female mayor of Seoul through the `government ruling party’s judgment theory` in the footholding of the ruling party’s former mayor.
On the 1st, former Minister Park attended the event to announce the results of the Seoul Mayor candidate’s contest, wearing blue sneakers and a blue coat identical to the party’s color. After the announcement by the Party Election Commission, he gave a speech on acceptance of the candidate under the theme of the’Seoul Declaration of Independence’, which is 26 pages of manuscripts and a total of 3103 characters.
The background of former Minister Park’s overwhelming victory is interpreted to have had a great influence on the `main line competitiveness` formed among the supporters of the passport. He is in an ultra-close battle against prospective candidates Na Gyeong-won and Oh Se-hoon, who are the second strongest powers of the people, and in a bilateral confrontation with Ahn Cheol-soo, representative of the National Assembly. In an opinion poll conducted and announced on the 18th by Maeil Economic Daily commissioned by Hangil Research, former Minister Park recorded 39.3% and CEO Ahn 39.4%. On the other hand, it was investigated that Rep. Woo had a close battle with prospective candidates Na and Oh and lost to Ahn. For this reason, it can be seen that among the supporters of the passport, the candidate was chosen with the finals in mind. One pro-Moon Jae-in-gye lawmaker said, “It can be seen that the competitiveness of the final election also reflects the achievements that were made during the tenure of the National Assembly and the Minister.” “As a weapon capable of overcoming the unfavorable terrain for passports, the fact that being a’capable candidate’ has been effective.” Interpreted.
In order to highlight this point, former Minister Park also listed the history and achievements of his career as a reporter to the Minister of Medium and Medium Enterprises in his acceptance speech. He said, “The mayor who works well with the citizens of Seoul makes a strong Seoul,” and said, “I will solve the problems of Seoul with proven administrative power, proven achievements, and momentum as a minister.” He mentioned the establishment of a system for mass production of K vaccine syringes as well as responding to Japanese export regulations as the smallest smallest company 100.
It is also noteworthy that there has been a prospect that Congressman Woo will prevail in the organizational power of the party in Seoul within the passport, but the results of opening the lid were different. There is also an evaluation within the party that it has been reconfirmed that the party sentiment led by the pro-moon support group and the public opinion are formed in a similar fashion as in the convention in which Nak-yeon Lee or the leadership was elected last year. Former Minister Park showed 63% of the votes in the vote of the rights party, and 72% in the general citizen survey. The fact that the former Minister Park served as a minister in the Moon Jae-in administration and Democratic Party lawmaker Yoon Gun-young, who is the closest aide to President Moon, helped, it can be said that the fact that the frame itself was not formed was also advantageous.
On the other hand, there is also an analysis that the clarity of progress, the so-called’democraticness’, which Congressman Woo put forth did not work well. In particular, there are evaluations that the remarks that Rep. Woo said in a handwritten letter written by the late Mayor Park Won-soon, former mayor Kang Nan-hee, “was crying” or “Park Won-soon’s role model”, “which led to a big concession.” In his acceptance speech, former Minister Park presented the’Democratism’ that had been attacked during the race by presenting examples of the Separation of Geumsan Act, economic democratization, the deletion of the police’s obligation to obey prosecution orders, former President Lee Myung-bak’s BBK, and Park Geun-hye administration’s identification of the identity of Choi Soon-sil related to the state-run Nongdan Rather, he emphasized that he is not different from the Iranian keyword.
As former Minister Park showed a mid-way and extended expansion plan with the main election in mind during the contest, there is no big change in the policy tone in the future. Regarding the real estate problem, which is the current government’s biggest mistake, he revealed his personal history, saying, “The 18-pyeong national house in Sandnae, Namgajwa-dong, Seodaemun-gu. When I was a child, my parents were happy to arrange my own house here and gain the whole world.” I will give it to you.” It has pledged to rebuild an apartment for a half price of 10 million won per pyeong (3.3㎡) and a public rental housing complex that is more than 30 years old. It also promised free kindergarten meals and an interest-free loan of 50 million won to young adults and small business owners.
He also revealed his ambition to make Seoul a digital economic capital. It re-emphasized the establishment of a leading city for start-ups such as the 1 trillion won Seoul parent fund, and the digital regular subscription economy for small business owners.
In preparation for the future conservative opposition party to launch an offensive by discussing the case of former Mayor Park, he stipulated that “the politics brings destruction and retreat,” and that “Seoul is not the target of the political dispute.” He plans to promote the unification of pan-passports with the Open Democratic Party candidate Kim Jin-ae and the Cho Jung-hoon transition candidate. Rep. Woo, who played in the contest together, said on this day, “As a proud Democrat, I will only play all the roles that right Sang-ho can on the path to victory in the Democratic Party.”
