The results of a public opinion poll came out on the 10th that if a confrontation between the Democratic Party candidate Park Young-seon and the Nationalist Party’s representative Ahn Cheol-soo in the Seoul Mayor’s by-election in April, it will be an ultra-thin game of less than 1 percentage point.

Korea Research commissioned MBC to unify 804 Seoul citizens 18 years of age or older for two days on the last 8-9 days. Responses were 41.9% and 41.4%, respectively.

The gap is only 0.5 percentage points.

46.0% vs. 33.7% of candidate Park and candidate Na Gyeong-won, the power of the people, and 45.3% vs. 36.1%, respectively.

In both virtual confrontations, Candidate Park defeated the People’s Power candidate outside the margin of error (95% confidence level and ±3.5% of sample error).

In the case of the Democratic Party’s Candidate Sang-Ho Woo, Ahn and Candidate Oh fell behind with a difference of 15.4% and 10.8%, respectively.

In addition, in the case of a three-way confrontation due to the unification of the opposition, candidate Park’s generous advantage was predicted.

In the confrontation between Candidate Park, Candidate Na, and Representative Ahn, Park was significantly ahead of Candidate Na (19.2%) and Representative Ahn (27.1%) with 39.7%.

In the case of candidate Oh instead of Na, candidate Park was 38.7%, candidate Oh 19.6%, and representative Ahn 27.8%.

In terms of suitability for pan-passport candidates, Park received overwhelming support with 35% for Park, 9.5% for Woo, and 2.2% for Open Democratic Party candidate Kim Jin-ae.

In the pan-optics, Ahn 27.3%, Na 15.1%, Oh 13.1%, Cho Eun-hee, Seocho-gu mayor 4.4%, former lawmaker Tae-seop Geum 2.9%, and Shin-hwan Shin 1.2%.

The political party leadership in Seoul was 36.3% for the Democratic Party, 27.6% for the People’s Power, 7.1% for the People’s Party, and 5.2% for the Justice Party.
