When the police concluded the investigation on the 29th of the late Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon’s secretary office employee sexual harassment case, the victim A said, “Apart from the crime, the police did not reveal the facts the victim wanted to explain. “I am sorry.

Mr. A’s legal representative Kim Jae-ryeon, a lawyer at Law Firm On Se-sang, said through Yonhap News, “The police should clearly clarify the facts revealed as a result of the investigation on the harassment and abuse conditions of Mayor Park, but it is regrettable not to mention this.”

Attorney Kim criticized, “It is a matter that the police deserve to reveal the facts of the assault, but it did not mention the facts identified as a result of the investigation because the accused died.”

He added, “The police failed to sound the alarm for the wrongdoing of supporters who tried to deny and distort the damage without properly addressing this, and I am concerned that it would rather contribute to the continuation of the widespread secondary abuse.”

On that day, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s investigation TF Park Won-soon said ▶The case against Mayor Park was unconvicted according to the death of the accused (no prosecution right). ▶ Regarding the’second offense’, such as the dissemination of sexual harassment complaint documents, it was announced that 15 people were prosecuted, 2 people were transferred to military units, and 7 people were sent to the prosecution with the opinion of stopping the prosecution.

A TF official said, “I investigated the victims and reference people and reviewed the submitted data, but mayor Park was found dead and sent to the prosecution with the opinion of’no public prosecution’ in accordance with relevant laws.”

Article 69 of the Prosecutor’s Office Regulations stipulates that if a suspect under investigation dies, the case should be disseminated without prosecution.

‘Seoul Mayor’s Powerful Sexual Violence Case Joint Action’, a coalition of women and civic groups supporting the victim A (a former secretary) who accused former Mayor Park of sexual harassment, is expected to reveal its position through future discussions.
