Seong-ho Park (58·Photo) Hana Bank Vice Chairman and Hana Financial Investment Representative Lee Eun-hyung (47) Hana Financial Group Vice Chairman was appointed.

Hana Financial Group held the Group Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee (Chu-wi Lim) on the 25th, and the next five major affiliates, including Hana Bank, Hana Financial Investment, Hana Card, Hana Capital, and Hana Savings Bank, whose term of office as CEO will expire next month. CEO candidates were selected and announced.

Vice-president Park, appointed as the head of Hana Bank, joined Hana Bank’s predecessor, Korea Investment Finance, after graduating from Seoul National University’s Department of Business Administration. Since then, he served as the head of Hana Bank’s Indonesian subsidiary, vice president of Hana Bank Asset Management Group, and CEO of Hana Financial TI, and is currently serving as vice president of Hana Bank Digital Retail Group.

Vice Chairman Park was evaluated as the right person to revitalize the organization with his extensive experience in the digital, global, and asset management fields, which are becoming increasingly important amid growing economic uncertainty at home and abroad and rapidly changing financial markets.

Hana Bank Chairman Ji Seong-gyu, who failed to serve in office, is known to have had an impact on the fact that he was included in the Financial Supervisory Service’s sanctions in relation to the private equity crisis.

Lee Eun-hyung, who was recommended as the next representative of Hana Financial Investment, graduated from Korea University and obtained a doctorate in economics from Jilin University in China. Later, Vice Chairman Lee, who served as an advisory professor at Peking University in China, was selected as vice president of global strategy at Hana Financial Group in 2011. In 2014, he served as Vice Chairman of China’s Private Investment Group, and has been serving as Global Vice Chairman of Hana Financial Group since March last year.

Vice-Chairman Lee, who has extensive experience in academia and finance, has made him known as a global expert with a global mind fluent in five languages, extensive knowledge, and a broad network.

Hana Finance explained, “By contributing to Hana Financial Investment’s global business expansion, Vice Chairman Lee’s capabilities will be the best person to lay the foundation for Hana Financial Investment to grow new globally beyond domestic competition.”

Hana Financial Group Lim Chu-wi has decided to reappoint Hana Card President Jang Gyeong-hoon, Yoon Gyu-sun, Hana Capital President, and Oh Hwa-kyung, President of Hana Savings Bank. They were recommended as CEO candidates based on their good business performance.

The next president Park Seong-ho and Lee Eun-hyeong, the next CEO of Hana Geumtu, each serve two years, and the remaining presidents of Hana Card, Capital, and Savings Bank are one year. The CEO candidates recommended on this day will be elected through the board of directors of each company and a regular shareholders’ meeting held next month.
