Park Hang-seo (62), who has emerged as a hero of Vietnamese football, has been named as the protagonist of a commemorative medal issued by the Korea Mint Corporation.

On the 1st, the Korea Mint Corporation unveiled a medal in commemoration of Director Park Hang-seo at the Orot-Dium Hall on the 1st floor of the Sales and Development Department in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

The KTO decided to release the medal in honor of Park’s achievements as a Vietnamese national hero beyond Korea.

This is the first time that a medal modeled after a domestic soccer manager has been released.

On the front of the medal was the cheering of manager Park and soccer fans.

It is expressed with Taegeuk, a symbol of the Korean and Vietnamese flags, and a separate latent image (design that looks different depending on the viewing angle).

On the back, the scene of the goal and goal scene in Hanoi Meading National Stadium, Vietnam, where the 2018 ASEAN Football Federation Suzuki Cup final was held is reproduced.

After winning runner-up at the Asian Football Federation (AFC) U-23 Championship in 2018, coach Park has inscribed the phrase “Don’t lower your head because you’ve done your best” in Korean and Vietnamese.

Director Park Hang-seo, who attended the event, said, “The commemorative medal is a great honor for me personally,” and “I hope it will be an opportunity to deepen friendly relations between Korea and Vietnam.”

For gold and silver medals, sales reservations are accepted from 1 to 14 days.

In Vietnam, preliminary music will be received from next month.

From May to June, three commemorative medals are officially sold in both countries.

Korea Mint Corporation President Cho Yong-man emphasized, “We will continue to strive to raise the national brand by presenting high-quality medals that contain the beauty and culture of Korea.”
