Justice Minister Park Beom-gye brings together high prosecutors to discuss countermeasures against real estate speculators.

The Ministry of Justice announced on the 12th that it will hold a meeting with the chief prosecutors at 10:30 a.m. on the 15th, attended by the chief prosecutors and the chief prosecutor of the Justice Institute, presided over by Minister Park. The theme of the meeting is’Real Estate Speculation Countermeasures’ and’Reinforcement of the Prosecution’s Professional Competency for Economic Crimes’.

At this meeting, Minister Park is expected to emphasize the prosecution’s proactive response to the real estate speculation problem that has recently emerged from allegations of land speculation by employees of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH). However, as the prosecution cannot directly investigate the real estate speculative offender due to the adjustment of the prosecutor’s and police investigation rights, it is expected that the police should actively pursue the maintenance of prosecution after the case was sent.

Previously, Minister Park said that he would find a way to demonstrate the prosecution’s ability to investigate the land speculation problem in the 1st and 2nd new cities in the investigation of the LH incident. It seems that the high swordsman and the high swordsman will face each other in this part as well.

However, there is also a response that it is questionable whether there will be a clear solution by meeting the high swordsmen because Park has repeatedly blamed the prosecution for the LH land dumping case. Minister Park met with reporters on the morning of that day, saying, “On July 21, last year, former Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae ordered the Prosecutor General (Suk-yeol Yoon) to strict crackdown and investigation of real estate speculators, and thorough collection of illegal profits,” the prosecution ordered. It has been said to the effect that such a problem has arisen because of not properly implementing it.
