It was confirmed that candidate Park Beom-gye registered his son in the sixth grade of elementary school as the head of the household in Daechi-dong, Gangnam, Seoul in 2007.

According to data submitted by Candidate Park, Rep. Power of the People’s Power on the 19th, Park’s son was registered as the head of the apartment charter in Daechi-dong, Gangnam, Seoul from December 2007 to February of the following year. Candidate Park moved into the apartment on a charter basis in February 2006, and in June of that year changed the head of the household to his wife, Joo-mo, and later changed into a mother-in-law and then a son. At the time, the son of Candidate Park was 13 years old, a 6th grader in elementary school.

In the data submitted to Congressman Cho’s office, Candidate Park said, “There is a possibility of taking public office in Seoul, so in February 2006, the family left Daejeon and rented an apartment in Daechi-dong, Seoul.” I decided to stay true to my business and went down to Daejeon in June,” he explained. “As the candidate ran for the by-election, the spouse also moved to Daejeon in February 2007, and in the meantime, the mother-in-law was transferred to the head of household, but the mother-in-law also went to Daegu again in December of the same year for personal circumstances. Countless times, my son left it at the address until he graduated from elementary school.”

Regarding this, Congressman Cho pointed out, “It is possible that candidate Park’s spouse moved the address to Daejeon, and that it was actually disguised.” This is because it is virtually impossible for an elementary school son to live in an apartment in Daechi-dong alone. While living in Seoul with her child, he moved only his address to Daejeon for the by-election. Rep. Cho said, “Candidate Park emphasized’education without regional bias,’ but there is a suspicion that he moved into Daechi-dong elementary school for graduation. We will be meticulously questioned at the hearing.”
