‘Changes’ in 6 weeks… Booulkyung reversed the power of the people
President Moon’s approval rating is 43.2%, continuing at 40% for the second week

In Seoul, where the by-election is held, the results of a public opinion poll came out on the 28th that the Democratic Party again surpassed the people’s strength. President Moon Jae-in’s approval rating continued to rebound, recording 40% for the second consecutive week.
As a result of a survey of 1,510 people aged 18 and over nationwide on the 25-27th by Real Meter commissioned by YTN, the approval rate of the Democratic Party in Seoul was 32.4%, up 5.8 percentage points from Jeonju. The power of the people fell 6.6 percentage points to 28.5%. It has been six weeks since the third week of December last year that the Democratic Party surpassed the people’s strength in Seoul.
In Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, where the Busan mayoral by-elections were held, the people’s power rose by 6.5 percentage points to 36.4 percent, and the Democratic Party fell 1.0 percentage points to 33.5 percent.
The national party approval rate was 33.3% for the Democratic Party and 30.5% for the people’s power. Compared to last week, they increased 0.5 percentage points and 1.9 percentage points, respectively.
The Democratic Party’s approval rating rose in Seoul (5.2%p↑), 20s (7.1%p↑), and liberal (5.0%p↑). The power of the people rose in Boo, Ul, Gyeong (7.7%p↑), 60s (5.8%p↑), middle class (5.3%p↑), and self-employed (7.6%p↑). Other than that, the National Assembly Party 8.8%, the Open Democratic Party 7.3%, and the Justice Party 4.1%.
Realmeter said, “This survey reflects issues such as discussions on the institutionalization of self-employed people’s loss compensation system, former Minister of SMEs and Startups Park Young-seon’s official declaration for mayor of Seoul, and discussions on unifying the opposition of the mayor of Seoul. “As this rises, support for the middle class also flows to each party,” he pointed out.
Meanwhile, President Moon Jae-in’s approval rating (positive evaluation) was 43.2%, up 0.2 percentage points from the previous week. It has risen over 5 percentage points last week and has been on the rise after recovering to the 40% range. The negative evaluation fell 0.8 percentage points to 52.4%. 4.5% of the respondents did not know.
Positive evaluations rose sharply in Seoul (6.8%p↑), TK (5.7%p↑), 20s (9.0%p↑), and advanced people (5.4%p↑). The gap between positive and negative evaluations is 9.2 percentage points, which is outside the margin of error.
