[데일리스포츠한국 차혜미 인턴기자] St. Louis Cardinals Kim Gwang-hyun will start the second round of the Major League (MLB) demonstration game.

The St.Louis team announced Kim Gwang-hyun as a starting pitcher for a demonstration game with the Miami Marlins to be held at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Florida, USA on the morning of the 9th (Korean time). It’s been 5 days since the New York Mets match on the 4th.

The first performance appearance was not very good. He struggled by throwing 39 balls in two innings. In the first inning, he couldn’t catch 3 outs, so he was grated halfway, and he climbed the mound again in the second. He recorded 4 hits, 2 walks, 2 strikeouts and 4 runs (3 ERA) in 2/3 innings.

Kim Gwang-hyun said, “The slogan was shaken and the restraint did not come out properly. I will make up for the regrets through video analysis.” In the match against Miami, he is expected to increase the number of pitches to 60 and play more innings.

The first start wasn’t good, but I took a break on the 4th and started the game in the normal rotation. After finishing the match against the Mets, Silt also showed his faith in Kim Gwang-hyun, saying, “It’s just the first demonstration game.”

On the other hand, St. Louis is preparing for the season with Kim Kwang-hyun as the starting positions following Jack Flaherty and Adam Wainwright this season.
