Over 120 people infected with Yeongsaenggyo… 400 new confirmed cases

Everyone, are you having a healthy Lunar New Year holiday? The number of additional corona19 confirmed cases, which exceeded 500, came down to 400. Since it is a holiday, the decrease in the number of tests seems to have had an effect. The number of confirmed cases related to Yeongsaenggyo Bridge in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do exceeded 120, and there were also confirmed persons in sauna and nursing facilities.

This is the first news today (12th), reporter Lee Sung-hoon.

Yesterday, the first day of the Lunar New Year holiday, the number of corona19 tests decreased by nearly half compared to usual, and the number of new confirmed cases from 500 people fell to 403 in one day.

However, the positive rate, which means the ratio of confirmed cases to the number of tests, has risen from 1.26% to 1.73%.

This is because group infections have continued throughout the country, mainly in the metropolitan area.

In Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do, a family member of Yeongsaenggyo and at the workplace of the member were additional 22 confirmed, and the cumulative confirmed number was 123.

In the sauna in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, 12 additional people were confirmed after the first confirmed case came out on the 8th, and a new outbreak was confirmed at a nursing facility in Eunpyeong-gu and a call center in Jung-gu.

In the non-metropolitan area, the confirmed cases were centered on the location of the existing group infection, but two new confirmed cases related to IM Mission and Antioch Church were added.

The quarantine authorities said that there is a high risk of corona 19 recurring if the number of movements and contacts increases during the Lunar New Year holidays, and asked to minimize movement and contact without holding private meetings with more than 5 people on the remaining holidays.
