On the afternoon of the 23rd, a fire broke out in Choco-dong, a Haitai Confectionery factory located in Seonggeo-eup, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do.
A big fire broke out at the Haitai Confectionery Factory in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, and it extinguished in 10 hours. All of the employees who were working were evacuated, and fortunately, there was no human injury.
According to the Chungnam Fire Department on the 24th, at 8:13 pm on the 23rd, a fire broke out in the product warehouse building of the second factory of Haitai Confectionery, Seonggeo-eup, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do. The fire department once issued a second phase of response and caught the fire in three and a half hours. Afterwards, it was confirmed that the lights were completely turned off at 6:28 am on the 24th after cleaning the remaining lights.
After the fire, 66 employees who were working on the first and third floors of the factory, respectively, were evacuated outside the factory, and fortunately, there was no human injury.

It was found that the Haitai confectionery factory, which produces chocolate and gum, etc., consists of 10 buildings in total.
The fire department is grasping the fire situation by seeing that the fire started from plastic material outside the building had been transferred to the warehouse of the factory.
An official from the Chungnam Fire Department said, “All 19 reports were received that the plastic material piled up outside the company’s building was burning,” he said. “We focused on preventing the fire from spreading to other buildings in the factory.”
