On the 23rd, Ragnarok: Labyrinth, a mobile RPG based on Ragnarok, will be released in Korea. The game feature is a share vice that allows you to borrow other user characters or lend your own character. In addition, it is eye-catching that it is a vertical game where all players can play with one hand.

Gravity held a press conference for Ragnarok: Labyrinth on the 16th and introduced the game’s features. Ragnarok: Labyrinth tells a new story based on Ragnarok’s worldview. The key is to go back to the past and collect pieces of Miir to save the adventurer who fell into the maze in order to save the future in chaos.

The story is different, but it keeps the connection to the original. First of all, Ragnarok’s basic occupation groups, including swordsmen, wizards, thieves, and archers, appear, and there is also a job that splits in two directions depending on the user’s choice. As of the launch standard, a total of 28 types will appear, 7 types each in 4 job groups, and a 5th job will be added. In addition, familiar monsters such as Poring and main areas of the original work such as Frontera appear.

The biggest difference from existing Ragnarok games is the share vice that allows you to lend or borrow characters. If you register your own character in ShareVice, other users can use it, and you can also call other user characters registered in ShareVice. The user who lent the character can check who and where the character is used, and items and experience points acquired during the share period are also distributed. It is also possible to borrow characters from users who are not connected to the game.

The reason why the production team introduced Share Vice is to reduce the play burden. Gravity, PM Seo Sang-won, said, “You can grow your character even when you are not playing, and when it is difficult to attack the MVP boss and the stage, you can attack by combining multiple characters. Ragraroc: Labyrinth’s characteristic is to target difficult areas with your own combination.”

Unlike general mobile RPGs, the reason why the screen was made vertically rather than horizontally, and the reason why it was made possible to catch MVP bosses or raid bosses at any time is because it aims to be an RPG that does not require much time. Gravity Lee Sang-yeop said, “This is to maximize the casual operation feeling without being constrained by time. After much thought, we set our goal to develop a convenient game that allows you to control everything with one hand.” He added that he also lowered his dependence on probability-type items.

However, if left alone, it is not an idle game that is 100% self-explanatory. There are also elements that require manual play, such as an MVP boss that gives more rewards than a normal monster, a real-time PvP melee that competes against multiple users, and a duel that gives additional rewards for collecting all the pieces that other users have through battle. When I am free, I aimed at a mobile RPG that I could do by focusing on a short time.

Ragnarok: Labyrinth will be released in Korea and globally on the 23rd through Google Play and Apple App Store. Since October last year, the service started in 5 Southeast Asian countries first, and it has been ranked 7th in Thailand, 13th in the Philippines, 21st in Singapore, and 17th in Malaysia by Google Play sales.
