A new confirmed case of a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in Daegu came down to a single digit in five days.
According to the city of Daegu on the 9th, the cumulative number of corona 19 confirmed cases as of 0 o’clock was 8,420, an increase of 9 from the previous day.
It is only five days since the 4th (8 people) that the number of new confirmed cases per day has been recorded.
By residence, Buk-gu is the largest with 5, and Dong-gu, Jung-gu, Suseong-gu, and Dalseo-gu are each one.
Two of the new confirmed cases are related to a family member in Buk, who is experiencing a serial infection. Mr. A, a man in his 30s who visited Osong, Chungbuk on the 3rd, was confirmed positive and is spreading to his family, acquaintances, and co-workers. To date, the cumulative confirmed number has increased to 10.
The other two are contacts of confirmed patients related to sports facilities in Dong-gu. After using an aerobic facility and sauna, the number of confirmed cases has increased to 15 so far, if they are confirmed (9) or their nth infection (6) is included.
Three were classified as contacts of existing confirmed cases. Each of these are additional contacts of the confirmed cases of the infection route, so the quarantine authorities are having difficulty in the investigation.
The other two are in the process of an epidemiological investigation because the route of infection is unknown. One of them was found to have overlapping movements with a confirmed family member in Buk-gu.
Currently, 142 confirmed patients are undergoing quarantine treatment. 117 were admitted to 7 local hospitals, and the remaining 25 to life treatment centers.
