On the 13th, the clouds that rained until the previous day remain, and sometimes cloudy weather is expected across the country. Gangwon’s Yeongdong and Gyeongsang’s east coast are generally cloudy. There is a fog of less than 1km in the Chungcheong area and Jeolla inland, centered on the west coast, and the road will be slippery due to the rain that fell until dawn. In the mountainous areas of Gangwon, 1~3cm of snow falls until dawn on the 13th.

Meteorological Agency Reporter Park Lee-hyung said, “In the case of Yeongdong, sleet rain may occur, so you must be careful about safe driving. Fine dust and fog may overlap, which may shorten your view.”

On the afternoon of the afternoon of the 12th when the emergency measures to reduce high concentrations of fine dust in the metropolitan area were issued, the city center viewed from Nuedari, Seocho-gu, Seoul, looks hazy. News 1

In addition to the ultrafine dust accumulated until the 12th, it is expected that foreign fine dust will enter from the northwest from the afternoon of the 13th. In the metropolitan area, Chungnam and Jeju areas, air quality is expected to be at a level of’bad’. Gwangju and Jeonbuk will temporarily show’bad’ levels at night in the afternoon of the 13th and Sejong and Chungbuk.

An official from the National Institute of Environmental Sciences Fine Dust Integrated Forecast Center said, “The north wind blowing on the 12th will change to the northwest wind from the afternoon of the 13th. This wind brings in both the foreign fine dust in the Balhae Bay and the accumulated fine dust floating in the west sea.” However, he predicted that “the air quality on the 13th will not be as bad as the 11th because the concentration of fine dust has slightly decreased due to the rain on the 12th and the wind blowing.”

The temperature in the morning is 2 to 5 degrees lower than on the 12th, and the temperature in the daytime is 2 to 4 degrees higher. Accordingly, the daily temperature difference is close to 10 degrees throughout the weekend. On the morning of the 13th, the minimum temperature is expected to be 1°C to 8°C, and the maximum temperature for the day is 9-17°C.

On the 14th, the whole country is generally clear. The lowest temperature in the morning is expected to rise to 0 to 7 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature in the daytime to 10 to 17 degrees Celsius.

Foreign fine dust coming in from the 13th continues until the morning of the 14th. As atmospheric congestion continues, the concentration of ultrafine dust in the metropolitan area, Gangwon Yeongseo, Chungcheong area, Gwangju, and Jeonbuk is expected to be at a level of’bad’. Other areas will show’normal’ air quality.

An official from the forecast center explained, “On the 14th, the daily average concentration of ultrafine dust is expected to exceed 50㎍/㎥. As air stagnation and inflow from abroad continue, it is highly likely to exceed the daily average of 50㎍/㎥ until the 15th.” .

If the daily average concentration of ultrafine dust is expected to exceed 50㎍/㎥ for two consecutive days, it is highly likely that emergency reduction measures will be taken in the central region from 6 o’clock on the 15th, Monday. This fine dust is somewhat resolved as a cold wind blows on the 16th.
