[아시아경제 정동훈 기자] After a six-hour meeting on the 28th, the courier labor and management, who are in conflict over the issue of improving the working environment and treatment of courier workers, came up with a provisional agreement.

According to the National Courier Union on the 28th, the courier labor and management came up with a provisional agreement after 6 hours of discussion with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the opposition parties in the National Assembly participated. The union side held an emergency expanded central executive committee to follow the procedure for approval of the proposal, and decided to hold a general assembly of all members to confirm the provisional agreement in the morning of the 29th.

The union said, “If the provisional agreement is approved, the strike will be withdrawn. If not, the strike will continue.” The provisional agreement will be released through participating organizations in the social consensus organization after 12:00 pm on the 29th when it is confirmed.

Earlier, on the 21st of this month, the labor and management of the parcel delivery industry agreed on a first social agreement with the main goal of stipulating the classification process as the responsibility of the parcel delivery company. However, the labor union declared that it would re-take a general strike, saying that delivery workers are being pushed back to sorting because the sorting manpower has not been properly put in the field.
