It was tentatively counted that 400 domestic confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) occurred from 0 o’clock to 9 PM on the 13th.
According to the quarantine authorities, as of 9 pm on the day, at least 400 new confirmed cases were found in 14 provinces excluding Daejeon, Sejong, and Jeju among 17 metropolitan local governments.
This is a decrease of 58 people compared to 458 (final 490) in the same time period the previous day. Considering the number of confirmed cases to be added by night, the number of new confirmed cases to be counted as of 0:00 on the 14th is expected to be in the mid-400 range.
By region, the confirmed cases were 166 in Gyeonggi, 109 in Seoul, 53 in Gyeongnam, 15 in Incheon, 13 in Gangwon, 12 in Busan, 9 in Gyeongbuk, 7 in Daegu and Chungbuk, 3 in Jeonbuk, 2 in Jeonnam and Chungnam respectively, and Ulsan. · Gwangju, 1 person each.
Most of the confirmed cases were concentrated in Gyeongnam and the metropolitan area.
In Gyeongnam, following the previous day, there was a strong storm after a group infection from the Jinju bathhouse. On that day alone, 42 confirmed cases were added, and the cumulative number of infected patients including the first confirmed cases increased to 134.

In Gyeonggi-do, additional infections in the group infected areas were limited to two Hwaseong dance training academies and one Acheon box manufacturing industry. There was only one infected person from overseas, and all others were classified as community infected.
In Incheon, there was no impact from the existing group infection on this day. Except for one confirmed person from overseas, all others were classified as infected by local communities. As for the distinction, there were 4 confirmed patients in Bupyeong-gu, 3 in Jung-gu, 2 in Yeonsu-gu, 2 in Namdong-gu, 2 in Gyeyang-gu, 1 in Seo-gu, and 1 in Michuhol-gu.

In the case of Busan, confirmed cases related to Samyuk Busan Hospital in Seo-gu and the Kimcheon branch of the anti-unification union, classified as cases of group infection, were added.
At the Seo-gu Samyuk-Busan Hospital, two additional employees and one discharged patient were confirmed, and the cumulative number of confirmed cases related to the hospital increased to 24. Regarding the Gamcheon branch of the port union, one co-worker of the existing confirmed patient was positive in the examination before self-isolation was lifted. In addition, three western ship crew members were tested positive before self-isolation was lifted.
In Gangwon, four additional residents were confirmed in Jinbu-myeon, Pyeongchang. It is an infected person who was confirmed during the quarantine authorities’ full inspection process.
Earlier, in Pyeongchang, sporadic spread began on the 7th when four residents who had contact with Gangneung confirmed were confirmed. In Chungbuk, four additional confirmed cases were added in Jecheon, where a sauna-related group infection occurred. All four confirmed patients were found to be in their 60s or older. The quarantine authorities are conducting an in-depth epidemiological investigation, considering that all of them are related to the sauna-footed group infection.
In addition, in negative, foreign workers in their 20s were confirmed as positive as a result of the corona 19 diagnostic test. The confirmed person was classified as a contact with another foreign worker in their 20s who was confirmed to be infected in a preemptive examination of foreign workers on the 11th, and was in self-quarantine.
Meanwhile, the government has decided to extend the social distancing phase, which is the current 2nd stage in the metropolitan area and 1.5 stages in the non-capital area, by 2 weeks (15~28 days). At the same time, it also maintained a ban on private gatherings of more than 5 people.
However, exceptions were applied to some circumstances, such as meetings for weddings, accompanying infants and young children, and first-birth parties.
