Amid suspicions that the government was trying to build a nuclear power plant in North Korea, it was argued that what President Moon Jae-in delivered on a USB device was an initiative related to’new renewable energy and thermal power plant’.
31 days <한국일보>According to the report, a key member of the passport who was closely involved in the April 27 inter-Korean summit in 2018 said, “President Jae-in Moon delivered the’New Economic Map Initiative on the Korean Peninsula’ announced in 2015 as a representative of the New Political Democratic Union to North Korea at the time of the summit meeting.” He added, “The concept contained information about new and renewable energy and thermal power plants in North Korea.”
At the time of the summit meeting, a scene where President Moon seemed to say’the power plant problem’ was broadcast live above Dobodi-ri in Panmunjom. When a related report came out, President Moon said, “I passed the data to the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, and he made a PT video of the New Economy Initiative and handed it over. In that video, there is a power plant related content. It was delivered (via USB).” Kim Eui-gyeom, a spokesman for the Blue House, said.
The key figures claim that the’power plant’ concept contained in this USB was “not a nuclear power plant, but a new renewable energy power plant and thermal power plant-related initiative.”
A key official said, “The opposition party is raising a problem with the nuclear power plant, but what is the basis for it?” and said, “There was only one (data related to North Korean nuclear power plants) on the computer of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, and even this (at the time of writing) the summit meeting. After that, he said.
The Ministry of Unification also said through the position data distributed to the reporters on that day, “there is no word or any related content in the’New Economy Initiative on the Korean Peninsula’ delivered to the North during the April 27 inter-Korean summit in 2018.”
