Nuns kneeling in indiscriminate shooting, protesters with wooden shields

In the midst of indiscriminate violence in Myanmar’s military, a nun knelt before the police asking to stop the violence.

On the 28th of last month, Cardinal Charles Maung Bo, Archbishop of the Archbishop of Yangon, Myanmar, posted a picture of a nun on her Twitter.

In the picture, the nun knelt in front of a soldier and police, heavily armed with shields and guns.

In another photo, he raised his hands and cried.

“The police are hitting citizens and even shooting guns,” said Cardinal Charles Bo.

He added, “Thanks to the nuns, about 100 citizens were able to survive.”

This sister is Sister An Rosa Nu Taung from the Convent of Saint Francis Saberio in Michina, Kachin State, Myanmar.

The Asian Catholic Association (UCA) News introduced the protagonist in the photo and said, “At the time, the nuns shouted,’If you want to shoot, shoot me,’ and said,’The protesters have no weapons, they are just saying their requests in peace.'”

“The sister said,’I am ready to give my life for the church, the people, and the country.'”

Citizens with wooden shields also appeared in the fire of the military and police.

Twitter on the 2nd local time search for’#whatshappeninginmyamar’ to see citizens protesting with wooden shields to protect themselves.

They criticized military forces with a three-finger salute symbolizing resistance.

One of the Myanmarians who posted the photo appealed, saying, “We actually shot a bullet at us with wooden shields,” and “Please help the citizens of Myanmar.”

Another Myanmar said, “Citizens only wore helmets or held wooden shields to protect themselves from violence.”

Meanwhile, Myanmar’s military took over the regime by causing a coup on the 1st of last month because the elections were not fair.

Citizens rebelled and went out to the streets, and in the process of suppressing soldiers and police, the victims fired live ammunition one after another.
