The 300t class liquid engine in the first stage of the Korean launch vehicle’Nuri’ successfully burned for 101 seconds at the Naroju Center in Goheung, Jeollanam-do on the 25th.

The second launcher is a launcher that can inject fuel, oxidizer, and electricity into a three-stage launch vehicle, which began construction on September 15, 2016, and has finished functional inspection on November 15 last year, and is waiting for the launch of the Nuri. The height is about 45.6m, which is similar to the length of Lake Nuri 47.2m.

The Naro, a two-stage launcher, uses liquid fuel only in the first stage. The first launch pad used to launch the Naro could be fueled from the ground. However, because the Nouriho needs fuel to be injected into the 2nd and 3rd stages, the 2nd Launcher was made in the form of a tower so that fuel could be injected from the ground.

In the basement of the 2nd launch platform, there is a facility for injecting fuel and oxidant over three basement levels. This facility consists of 52 rooms and has a total floor area of about 6000m.2Leads to Before the launch of the Nuri, the 2nd Launcher connects 7’umbilical’ cables to the Nuri. There are a total of 7 umbilical cables, one for the fuel and one for the oxidant, respectively, to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd engines. The other one is connected to the second stage with an electricity supply cable to supply electricity to the entire launch vehicle.

There is also a ground fixing device to support the projectile from falling over until it reaches its maximum thrust, and an umbilical cable collection device that quickly accommodates the umbilical cable during takeoff and prevents collision with the projectile.

Kang Seon-il, head of the anti-wooyeon launch pad, said, “If the first launch unit received design drawings from Russia, the second launch unit took the initial concept and did all the processes, including design and drawing, and all parts were manufactured by domestic technology.” From June to mid-July, Nuri will inject fuel with the final certified model and test the interface right before engine ignition.

The second launch team was developed by six companies including Hyundai Heavy Industries.
