Nonghyup Chairman Lee Seong-hee held the ‘2021 New Year’s Business Report’ on the 12th, expressing his determination to focus on distribution of agricultural and livestock products and digital innovation.

The New Year’s Business Report, held in the video conference room of the main building of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation in Jung-gu, Seoul, was prepared to share key management directions and key promotion plans for Pan-Nonghyup in 2021, and to actively respond to the crisis situation caused by the spread of Corona 19.

The briefing session was held in a non-face-to-face manner through video conferencing system and live broadcasting through YouTube channel by 390 employees, including the central and regional headquarters.

Chairman Lee Seong-hee said at this meeting, “Through a major change in agricultural and livestock distribution and digital innovation, we will make efforts to become an Agricultural Cooperative closer to farmers and the people.”

In addition, a plan to create a 100-year Agricultural Cooperative with farmers and citizens was announced at the conference, focusing on’digital innovation’,’creating a foundation for sustainable management’, and’supporting the practical benefits of farmers’.

This year, the Agricultural Cooperatives plan to lead the innovation in distribution of agricultural and livestock products by establishing the basis for stabilizing supply and demand for agricultural products, strengthening the distribution value chain for agricultural and livestock products, and establishing an online distribution system. In addition, it plans to lay a foundation for sustainable development by revitalizing the agricultural and livestock cooperative economic business and strengthening the competitiveness of the financial business.
