Koreans in the United States launched a boycott (boycott) targeting Mitsubishi. Mark Ramsayer, a professor at Harvard University Law School in the United States, who was controversial about his thesis defining Japanese comfort women as voluntary prostitutes, was appointed through a fund raised by Mitsubishi at Harvard University.

On the 28th (local time), Korean American organizations in northern California posted a petition on the world’s largest petition site,’Change. The petition titled’Let’s boycott Mitsubishi’ has been posted under the name’Comfort Women’s UNESCO’.

The petitioner said the petition was “about the false and harmful allegations of Harvard Law School Professor Mark Ramsey.” In the petition, groups pointed out that Ramsey’s title was “Mitsubishi Professor of Japanese Law Studies.”

Organizations pointed out that Ramsey’s description of comfort women as voluntary and well-paid prostitutes in a recent paper denies the fact that the imperialist Japanese army has pushed women and girls into organized and inhuman sexual slavery systems. .

He urged, “Please join us in refusing to purchase all Mitsubishi products such as automobiles, TVs, electronic parts, air conditioners and HVAC systems.”

They added that “sponsoring (using Mitsubishi’s products) implicitly supports Professor Ramsey’s absurd and insulting arguments, who occupy the professorship assigned by Mitsubishi.”
