At the general meeting of the National Assembly’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Culture and Sports Committee), the’legalization of probability disclosure of probability items’, which has recently emerged as the biggest issue in the game industry, was discussed.
Rep. Jeon-gi Jeon of the Democratic Party, who attended the general meeting of the Culture and Sports Committee held on the 26th, asked Hwang-hee, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism (hereinafter the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) for his position on legalization of probability disclosure of probability items. Minister Hwang mentioned the whole amendment of the game law and expressed sympathy for the necessity of legalizing probability disclosure of probability items.
Minister Hwang replied to the question of a former lawmaker, “Do you think that probabilistic products that are bought without knowing the probability are normal transactions?” Minister Hwang said, “I know that the whole game law amendment to the legalization of probability-type items probability disclosure has been initiated,” and agreed with Congressman Jeon-Ki that legalization of probability-type items probability disclosure should be made in the 21st National Assembly.
Minister Hwang concluded his response and said, “We need to improve the areas that are not rational.”
