Reporter Kwon Hyeok-jin = NC Dinos, who is aiming for the unified championship for the second consecutive year, welcomed Wes Parsons, 29, from the United States as a new foreign pitcher.

NC announced on the 11th that it had signed a joining contract with Parsons. It is a contract with a total amount of $600,000, including a down payment of $80,000, an annual salary of $320,000, and an incentive of $200,000.

Parsons is equipped with a solid physical condition of 196cm 93kg and is a right-handed three-quarter type, throws a ball with a lot of movement, and has excellent ground ball guidance. With an average fastball speed of 151km, he uses four-seam, two-seam, slider, and changeup.

Parsons made his big league debut in 2018 after signing with the Atlanta Braves in the major leagues as an amateur free agent in 2012.

His career record in the big leagues was 33 matches, 39⅔innings with 1 win and 3 losses and an average ERA of 5.67. In Triple A, he scored an average of 3.41 ERA in 47 games (15 starting games) and 153 innings with 9 wins, 7 losses and 5 saves.

Parsons said, “I am happy to be a member of the KBO League Champion NC last year. “I will do my best to help my team and colleagues so that they can achieve the best possible success at the last minute.”

“Parsons is a pitcher with good pitch and pitch, and will be able to give more stability to the starting rotation.”

NC, which previously signed a renewal with pitcher Drew Luchinski and batter Aaron Altair, completed the new season’s foreign player concept with Parsons.

As soon as the entry visa process is completed, Parsons will enter the country and self-isolate in Changwon for two weeks before joining the team training.
