NC completes the composition of foreign players… Signed $600,000 with pitcher Parsons

Professional baseball NC Dinos completed the formation of foreign players in 2021 with the signing of new foreign pitcher Wes Parsons (29).

On the 11th, NC announced that it had signed a contract with Parsons for a total of $600,000, including a down payment of $80,000, an annual salary of $320,000, and an incentive of $200,000.

NC signed a contract with ace pitcher Drew Luchinski and batter Aaron Altair, who contributed to winning the regular season and the Korean Series last year, and then signed a new pitcher Parsons, completing the formation of foreign players in 2021.

About Parsons, who has a height of 196cm and a weight of 93kg, NC explained that he is a right-handed three-quarter pitcher, throws a ball with a lot of movement, and has excellent ground ball guidance.

Parsons has an average fastball speed of 151 km/h and throws a four-seam and two-seam fastball, a slider, and a change-up.

“Parsons is a pitcher with a good pitch and a good pitch, and we expect to give stability to the starting rotation,” said Lim Sun-nam, head of NC data team.

Parsons signed with the Atlanta Braves of the US Major League as an amateur free agent in 2012, and made his debut in the big leagues in 2018.

In the major leagues, he recorded an average of 5.67 ERA in 33 matches and 39⅔ innings.

In the minor league triple A, he scored 47 games (15 starting games), 153 innings 9-7, 5 saves, and an ERA of 3.41.

Parsons said, “I’m happy to play for the winning team last year.” “NC is a team that has proven to be able to win, so it’s my job to do my best to keep it.”

He said, “My goal is to do my best to help the team and colleagues,” he said, who watched the KBO league match in the US last year. “I hope that I will be with you as a member of the team with the best success.”

He also said, “I have heard and know really amazing stories about Korea. I want to arrive in Korea quickly and experience all this with my body.”

Parsons will enter the country as soon as the entry visa process is completed, self-isolate in Changwon, and join the team training.
