Spring rain is falling in most parts of the country on the 1st of March 1st and Monday. Heavy snow warnings were in effect in the northern and central regions of Gangwon, and heavy rain warnings were in effect in the mountainous regions of Jeju Island.
As of 9 am, in the case of the central region, it is raining around 5mm per hour, but the intensity of rainfall gradually increases.
The Meteorological Administration announced on the 1st that the rain falling in the central region due to the low pressure on the 1st will expand to the whole country in the morning, and very much snow accumulates up to 50cm or more in Gangwon-do.
As of 8:00 am, the rainfall in the metropolitan area is △11.5mm in Seoul, △11.3mm in Incheon, and 16.0mm in Suwon.
In the Jeju mountains where heavy rain warnings are in effect, strong rain is falling at around 15mm per hour.
This rain is due to the impact of the pressure valley approaching from the southwest, and the rain cloud zone on the west sea advances northeast to the northeast at a speed of 60 km/h, and the rain gradually gets stronger, and there are places where it falls from 30 to 80 mm in most areas during the day and up to 100 mm in the eastern part of Gyeonggi.

In the northern mountains of Gangwon-do, it rained and the temperature decreased, and as of 8:30 am, it turned into snow, and a heavy snow warning was released.
Estimated snowfall is △10~40cm in Yeongdong, Gangwon (more than 50cm in many places) △5~15cm in Yeongseo, Gangwon △Northern Gyeonggi, eastern Gyeonggi, southern Yeongseo inland of Gangwon, northern inland Gyeongbuk, and 3~8cm in northern east coast of Gyeongbuk.
The Meteorological Administration said, “The area where snow falls is gradually expanding, and there is a lot of snow falling over 50 cm in the Yeongdong area in Gangwon and about 15 cm in the Yeongseo area in Gangwon, so take special care to avoid damage such as collapse of plastic houses or facilities with weak structures. I hope you will do it.”
The estimated minimum morning temperature for each major region is △Seoul 6 degrees △Incheon 6 degrees △Chuncheon 4 degrees △Gangneung 6 degrees △Daejeon 8 degrees △Daegu 8 degrees △Busan 11 degrees △Jeonju 11 degrees △Gwangju 12 degrees △Jeju 15 degrees.
The expected maximum temperature during the day is △Seoul 9 degrees △Incheon 9 degrees △Chuncheon 6 degrees △Gangneung 8 degrees △Daejeon 16 degrees △Daegu 16 degrees △Busan 16 degrees △Jeonju 17 degrees △Gwangju 17 degrees △Jeju 20 degrees.
