A survey of the Seoul Mayor’s by-election virtual confrontation revealed that Park Young-sun and the Democratic Party’s preliminary candidates lead both in the bilateral and multilateral system. Real Meter, commissioned by (YTN) and (TBS), surveyed 1016 adults in Seoul on the 7th to 8th (confidence level 95%, sample error ±3.1%), a virtual confrontation between Candidate Park and National Assembly Representative Ahn Chul-soo In the composition, candidate Park revealed on the 10th that it was found to be ahead of 38.9% versus 36.3%. The gap between the two is within the error range of 2.6 percentage points. Candidate Park also surpassed Candidate Na (34.0%) by 5.7 percentage points with a 39.7% approval rating in the confrontation with the candidate Na Kyung-won People’s Strength. The preliminary candidate Oh Se-hoon won 40.6% versus 29.7% outside the margin of error.

Even assuming that the unification of the opposition is broken and a three-way confrontation unfolds, it is predicted that Park will win outside the margin of error regardless of who appears as a candidate for the power of the people. If candidate Na was the final candidate for the power of the people, candidate Park was 37.5%, candidate Na 25.0%, and representative Ahn 22.7%, and if candidate Oh, candidate Park 37.7%, candidate Oh 18.7% and representative Ahn 26.7%. The Democratic Party’s preliminary candidate Sang-ho Woo loses both candidates Na and Se-hoon Oh. Candidate Woo and Candidate Na were 29.1% and 34.4%, while Candidate Woo and Candidate Oh were 30.6% and 32.7%, falling behind within the margin of error. Candidate Woo and Representative Ahn were counted as 28.2% and 40.4%, showing that they lost outside the margin of error. In the suitability survey for both the opposition and opposition candidates, 26.2% of Park candidate, 19.0% Ahn, and 15.1% Na form the leading group. Candidate Se-hoon Oh was 9.4%, candidate Woo was 7.7%, followed by Cho Eun-hee, a preliminary candidate for the power of the people (2.8%), former lawmaker Geum Tae-seop (1.4%), and Kim Jin-ae, a candidate for the Open Democratic Party (1.3%). Candidate Park’s fitness level increased by 13.1 percentage points from the first survey announced on the 4th of last month, while Candidate Ahn’s declined by 5.9 percentage points. It was found that candidate Na rose 4.4 percentage points. The Democratic Party also surpassed the support rate of political parties in Seoul at 32.2%. 28.1% of the people’s strength was followed by 6.9% of the People’s Party and 5.0% of the Open Democratic Party. In this survey, Real Meter also asked about issues in the city’s key areas. 40.0% of respondents cited’real estate market stability’ as a priority.
