Nam-ki Hong “Allow installation of hydrogen charging stations in city parks… Reform 10 tasks centered on charging, use, and parking”

[서 해 기자]On the 25th, Deputy Prime Minister of Economic Affairs and Minister of Strategy and Finance Hong Nam-ki said on the 25th that “we will allow the installation of hydrogen charging stations in city parks and green belts” for the innovative supply of eco-friendly vehicles.

Deputy Prime Minister Hong said at the 5th innovative growth BIG3 promotion meeting held at the government office in Seoul this morning, “We will focus on reforming ten tasks centered on charging, using and parking this year to achieve the goal of the 300,000 eco-friendly vehicles era.” .

At the 5th Innovation Growth BIG3 Promotion Meeting, the government decided to remove the area limitation of less than 20% of off-street parking when installing electric vehicle charging facilities and open public chargers to increase user convenience.

Since the current registration standard for automobile maintenance business is based on internal combustion vehicles, the facility standards are also relaxed so that electric vehicle maintenance centers can register even if they do not have the equipment necessary for maintenance of internal combustion vehicles, considering the burden of having unnecessary facilities and equipment.

For convenient parking, the parking area for eco-friendly vehicles was expanded to more than 5% of outdoor and public buildings, and the use of the slow charging area was allowed for a maximum of 12 hours.

Deputy Prime Minister Hong said, “To support this, we will promote the revision of related laws, enforcement decrees, and enforcement rules as soon as possible.”

Regarding system semiconductors, it has decided to accelerate private investment and strengthen investment and guarantees.

Deputy Prime Minister Hong said, “For the Yongin semiconductor cluster, where large-scale investment is planned, we will complete the procedures such as approval of the Metropolitan Area Improvement Committee and Industrial Complex Plan in March, and we will support the establishment of infrastructure such as water and power in a timely manner.”

He said, “We will promote the creation and support of a total of 640 billion won or more, including 100 billion won for the system semiconductor win-win fund, 200 billion won for the growth fund, 250 billion won for the’DNA+Big3′ fund, and 100 billion won for the materials, parts and equipment semiconductor funds.” “This year, we plan to raise 280 billion won, including the creation of a new 100 billion won in materials, parts and equipment semiconductor funds.”

He added, “We will strengthen support for fabless companies with small but excellent technologies during the warranty examination, such as industrial structure enhancement programs and specialized guarantee programs for the Technology Guarantee Fund and the Credit Guarantee Fund.”

The government is also promoting the establishment of big data related to cancer, the number one cause of death in Korea.

Deputy Prime Minister Hong said, “We will standardize the data for each institution and build big data of 3 million cancers for 10 types of cancer by 2025.”

He emphasized, “We will first open the already established cancer-related genomes and clinical data for research in the second half of this year, and accelerate the creation of results with the aim of developing more than five new anticancer drugs over the next 10 years.”

In addition, Deputy Prime Minister Hong said that the’K-Cancer (Cancer) Integrated Big Data Project Group’ will be formed around the inter-ministerial council and promote clinical research support from private medical institutions.
