Democratic Party lawmaker Nam In-soon, who had been suspicious of leaking the late Mayor Park Won-soon’s charges, denied the allegations, saying, “I didn’t know the charges and there were no leaks.” It has been six days since the suspicion arose.

Rep. Nam issued a statement on the day and said, “After the announcement of the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors’ Office on December 30, there were reports that I had leaked the accused, but I did not know the accused in advance and did not leak it.”

Rep. Nam said, “In the prosecution’s presentation, the first time that former Mayor Park Won-soon acquired information through the special report was before the victim’s complaint was filed, and former Mayor Park Won-soon and the special reporter did not know whether the complaint was filed and the details of the complaint,” “The report that I leaked the accused is not true,” he argued.

He said, “In the morning of July 8, I asked the Seoul Gender News Agency on the phone,’I think there is an unpleasant talk about Mayor Park, but what happened?’ He said, “I have not heard any specific details or the substance of the incident, so I asked a question like this. Will”.

Nam’s claim is contrary to the prosecution’s announcement last month. The Seoul Northern District Prosecutor’s Office announced on the 30th of last month that the facts related to the sexual harassment accusation by Mayor Park were leaked from a women’s organization and passed on to Congressman Nam and Seoul Gender Specialist Lim Soon-young. Representative Nam is a former representative of the Korean Women’s Association. Lim worked as an assistant to Congressman Nam.

Park Won-soon, I would like to express your position regarding the report on the leak of the former mayor of Seoul City.

After the announcement of the Seoul Northern District Prosecutor’s Office on December 30, there were reports that I had “leaked the accused”, but I did not know the “accused” in advance and did not leak it. I made this statement in the public meeting of the Supreme Council on July 24 last year, and nothing has changed in this regard.

In the prosecution’s presentation, it is stated that “the time when former Mayor Park Won-soon first obtained information through the special report was before the victim’s complaint was filed, and the former Mayor Park Won-soon and the special report did not know whether the complaint was made or the details of the complaint even after the complaint.” Reports that I leaked the accused are not true.

However, on the morning of July 8th, I asked the Seoul Gender News Agency on the phone, “It seems that there is an unpleasant talk about Mayor Park Won-soon. What’s wrong?” I asked this question because I had not heard anything about the specifics or the substance of the event.

We sympathize with the victim’s deep pain and give comfort and hope that our daily lives will recover.

We apologize for causing confusion and anxiety to you for a long time with this incident.
